First deviation of 2013! This is an excerpt from the first Chapter of "Echo Callaway and the Knights of Lionskeep", which runs about 35 pages, and is currently sitting in limbo on my hard-drive. I had a promising publishing deal for this story lined up, but a bunch of factors pushed it to the sidelines, not the least of which was how long it was taking to produce in this format.

That said, I'm in no way giving up on Echo; quite the opposite. Getting her story off the ground is my biggest creative goal for 2013, and its well underway. I'm using a different format, tailoring it specifically for phones and devices, and the first installments is about half-way done. This story, meanwhile (which is more or less Echo's "secret origin")... I'm not sure what will happen to it. Its plotted out to about 260 pages, formatted for print, and I'd obviously love to just make the entire book. But, for now, Its another part of Echo's tale thats getting my attention. But here's one of my favorite little snippets; keep your eyes peeled for more Echo in 2013. Happy New Year!
