Hi welcome back for More pixel arts. This is my upcoming, new profile image of the monthIf you'd like to make a good and attractive profile picture here's my ideas, though it may not help
- Use references from artwork you love
- Draw your Character using body language
- You could use a piece of Fanart as a profile pic

Well I'm glad you asked, I used this app called Sketch which enables to you pick a pixel brush to create your own Pixelated Portraits ^^
