i started this a while ago,
done for a class
this was the third re-render, cuz we had to do 3 renditions of the same image: digitizing a drawing or painting
so i picked something i did last year, it twas a self portrait of myself with the skull showing through.
the other two are like crap in comparison to this so i prolly won't upload those

so the concept behind it was human as animal...so i made it seem as though the face was deteriorating, from the skin peeling away through muscle and then to bone. used references from books for the muscles and internet images for the ape skull structure, although some human bone structure was kept in to tie things together.
yeah, i really like the result
