What's wrong with crack pairings? They are some of the best. Read "Kindred Spirits" over on www.fimfiction.net for a fantastic example. It's Gilda X Spike. I know, even I didn't see that coming, and I bloody shipped Spike and Rainbow Dash!

I honestly don't see how pairing anyone except Rainbow Dash with Gilda is supposed to work. And outside of flashbacks, even that's a stretch.
