Description
A recent-ish con sketch (summer 2006) of Jubilee from the X-Men (or whatever the hell sub-group she's in nowadays).Not bad, but something about the piece bugs me... Her face didn't quite work out the way I would've liked.

Wow. Jubilee is one of the best underrated characters in the X-Men universe. I really like your rendition of her. She looks Asian for a change instead of whatever artist decides to make her look like some random teenage girl with superpowers. I hate that. But this sketch I love.

Yeah, she's powerless now, but, at least Marvel didn't kill here.
... and bring her back to life for no reason with no explaination.

Niiiice, you able to do these without construction lines. I still need a few myself. my rough sketches tend to be really rough. ^_^;

Nahh, there actually were construction lines on that chair, but they were very, very faint (H lead, I think); they disappeared once I slammed in the thick, chalky 3B lead of the finished piece.
One of the wackier things about EMPOWERED is that, if you look closely, you'll be able to see my construction grids all over the place on the pages, though they're very faint. As long as you keep your construction lines light (but dark enough for you to see when you're applying finished pencils), most of the time they won't be that conspicuous, even in grayscale repro.

Not so easy with me, heh, for some reason I put a lot of pressure on my pencil. Will probably need to keep on to myself about that. That and I don't swap out pencils (I kept getting them mixed up lol)
