A page of random character sketches that I did as part of a proposal for a mysterious “side project” connected to the DC Comics miniseries RUSH CITY.Background: In 2006, DC Comics and Pontiac kicked off a new miniseries, RUSH CITY, that was in effect a product-placement deal on a grand scale. Mysterious new urban hero Diego Zhao, aka “Rush,” rights wrongs, helps the helpless, and defeats the defeatless with the help of his snazzy and gadget-heavy car, a Pontiac Solstice GXP (hence the product placement). Note, by the way, that former firefighter Diego dubbed the sports car “Sam” after his ex-fiancee’s daughter, who died in a fire.

What if he wears the jacket with the sleeves rolled up. That always looks bad ass. In reality I mean, it's sort of pointless, you roll up your sleeves because you're too hot but really in a heavy jacket that doesn't help. But dude, if I had swank tribal/dragon tattoos on my arms I'd totally wear my leather jacket sleeves rolled up just to look bitchin'. Granted I'm a girl so I'd probably just mildly disturb people.

The face on top ( the one that s inked ) reminded me of naoki urasawa s style ( the author of monster ). Am i wrong?

He looks like a racer! That goes with the name Rush City too, but I doubt it'll be a racing comic.
