Another page of random character sketches that I did as part of a proposal for a mysterious “side project” connected to the DC Comics miniseries RUSH CITY.

Background: In 2006, DC Comics and Pontiac kicked off a new miniseries, RUSH CITY, that was in effect a product-placement deal on a grand scale. Mysterious new urban hero Diego Zhao, aka “Rush,” rights wrongs, helps the helpless, and defeats the defeatless with the help of his snazzy and gadget-heavy car, a Pontiac Solstice GXP (hence the product placement). Note, by the way, that former firefighter Diego dubbed the sports car “Sam” after his ex-fiancee’s daughter, who died in a fire.
