From my (very) expensive hotel room at last month's San Diego Comic-Con, here's a moderately crappy phone photo of a con sketch drawn on a blank Marvel sketch cover, featuring Rogue from the X-Men in her famous Savage Land outfit. (I never read this arc of the series, yet even I am well aware of the imagery.) One of my more popular pieces from the show, at least on Instagram and Twitter, so I figured I might as well post it here.ΒRelated content

I shall confess it: I love how you draw your women, among the other things because you manage to draw more than one woman-type while adhering to a "manga-derived" style (i.e. an iconified one with rarefied elements).

I find amusing the popularity of "Savage Rogue" nowadays, given that she appeared like this in a grand total of *two* issues back at the start of the Jim Lee run on Uncanny X-Men, well before most of the people requesting these sketches (and in many cases, drawing them) were born. Go figure.
