Description
Another of the illos that Ryan Kinnaird and I did for EA's snowboarding videogame SSX3. This time, the subject is prettyboy Viggo. Me on the line art (inked, this time), Ryan K on the colors.As with a few of the earlier pieces, some changes to the original illo were necessary to keep the game's "E FOR EVERYONE" rating. At right: in the original version, none of the characters in the "hot springs/ hot tub/ whateva" shot were wearing clothes, least of all Viggo himself. This is what I call "implied nudity"-- that is, the characters are nude, but you don't see any naughty bits, so is it REALLY nudity?-- and I've run into problems with it on occasion, as happened this time. Oh, well.
Overall, a so-so piece; I don't mind the left and center vignettes, but the "hot springs" section doesn't work for me, whether it features "implied nudity" or not.

You...you! I've played ssx 3 all this time, and had no idea who drew those wonderful pictures until now..! >_< (Using google IS helpful!)..I just wan't to tell you that I really love your style, it's so different, and this is one of my favourite ssx 3 illustrations! (Even if you're not really pleased with this one) I love Viggo!

I love the way Its so easy to recognize your lineart! First time I saw it, was on an SSX cover (Tricky, i guess), then I saw some *Hot summer Callendar thingy* and now I found you here!

Though I've never played SSX3 before, I'm really beginning to wish it wasn't rated E so this stuff could reach a wider audience - it's way too good for the reject pile.

Hrmm... I COULD post the chara design sheets I worked up for the cast, come to think of it. I'll probably HAVE to, once my supply of artwork starts running out, in a few weeks...
