Description
Hey, everybody! Starting today (Jan. 11) and running through the 24th, the Comic Creatorsβ Alliance [link] is running a donation drive to fight Human Trafficking! What's Human Trafficking? It's a nicey-nicey word for slavery. If you thought the days of people being stolen off the streets and sold as slaves were over, you're wrong. If you thought the days of that happening in America were over, you're VERY wrong.
There are an estimated 27 million people living in slavery around the world right now; many are women or young girls sold into the sex trade. It's an industry that earns the black-hearted f@#^ers who run it over $32 BILLION every year. We're fighting major money, here, and we need help!
So go to the Comic Creatorsβ Alliance website [link] and you can donate anything you can spare to the cause. 100% of our proceeds are split between the Love146 campaign [link] and the charity Gracehaven organization of Toledo, Ohio [link] - one of the hubs of Human Trafficking in America. In return, you get a free desktop wallpaper featuring artistic contributions from over 100 artists, including me and Comfort and some major names like Adam Hughes, Danielle Corsetto, and Billy Tucci.
Last year, the CCA was able to raise $10,000 for the cause. Let's see what we can do this year!

It's like a comic book and Lisa Frank had babies. I like it.

Thanks, Kat. We're hoping for a good year; it's nice to be able to try and do something, even if it's as minuscule as making a little art.

It's amazing what an impact something like that can have though.

I hope for the best. Even a little benefit is better than none, and if nobody tried for fear of not having enough impact then nothing would EVER happen.
