Awesome. What makes her great to me is that she nearly took over Equestria with a highly intricate scheme. What impresses me so is that if it wasn't for Twilight noticing those tiny little behavioral changes, Chrysalis would have won without anybody suspecting a damn thing.

I've never been a huge fan of Discord. But I suppose all the villains in FiM have their weak points so it's probably a close race in the end.

Yup....If Trollestia just kept Discord again in her garden and didn't crumbled him into small pieces, he can always return (btw, I read somewhere on internet that maybe John De Lancie will have a major role in S3, but no information was given about him potraying Discord or another different character).
Chrysalis was just sent miles away from Canterlot, but she can always return (When I first saw that scene my first thought was "Yeah, right, let her go...this cannot possibly backfire you").
As for NMM, I dunno...maybe if they will go with "She's the essence of envy and revenge", they could always just let her return as well.

All I've heard is de Lancie doing more voicing, could be a small role, could be discord, could be anything. Chrysalis is obvious, of course.
But I think the show is more likely to give us new villains than reuse old ones, to be honest.
