Description
Another tease...A poster for the MLP fanfic I'm working on, entitled Fillystata and featuring Twilight, Trixie and Luna as the mane cast. Zecora and Owlowicious make appearances throughout as well.
A filistata is a kind of spider, but it's also a song by the awesome Stolen Babies which inspired the title and certain themes of this story. The plot will be a very loose adaption of my favourite H. P. Lovecraft story (cupcake to whoever names it).
It'll be a series, but I have no idea how long. Plot is only a rough outline at this point.
It'll be dark as all hell!

I was totally lazy with Luna, and just used my last deviation. The rest is new.

CURSE YOU ADCOON...you you are the reason for my love of twixie, twiluna, lunixie (luna X trixie) and many other ships... i must say for my first grimdark story i couldnt have picked a better one cause its dark but not overly dark like a fic that goes by the name of a type of baked good or rainbow factory or sweet apple massacre(s?) i loved it the first time loved it the second time and i do have one question ... can you recomand any hp lovecraft to me and by chance do you happen to know the hp lovecraft story that is all about the man trapped in a tower

As for Lovecraft, perhaps you're thinking of The Outsider? It's about a man who has lived his entire life alone in a castle or tower and then one day decides to break free to find someone else to talk to. It's a good one.
He's written many good ones, though. I'd recommend getting a book of his best works, because I'm sure to forget several here. There is of course The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, probably my favorite of his, and the one that inspired Fillystata. It's well worth the read.
The Thing on the Doorstep is also good, and could easily have been the inspiration for Fillystata too, it's very similar in themes
The Dreams in the Witch House also could have been a source of inspiration and is also excellent.

That would have been a good guess as well. I was actually reminded of that one while writing the second part.
I guess Lovecraft used some of the same themes in all three stories so far suggested.

Hard to say at this point. It starts out slow but builds up. The worst parts may end up more suggestive than explicit. Still... it'll be dark, that's all I can say.

Ah good. Suggestiveness is absolutely the way to go in terms of ponies, imo. Anything too graphic, be it sex or violence, ends up damaging the viewer/reader's immersion.
That's why I've yet to give Fallout: Equestria or Pony Noir a chance, though maybe I will eventually.
