I think I read that fic too, if we're thinking of the same one. Can't remember its name, but Fluttershy and Dash were thrown across the ocean by a storm and had to find their way home, or something. Was a very good story

Exacly! The name of it was... Off the Edge of the Map, found it while looking for some FlutterDash fics and I regreet not one second of reading it, there are some inconsistences with the show(for example, a dragon as polite and intelectual as Scar wouldn't be possible if you take on account the events of Secret of my Excess, much less a whole dragon society), but it is forgiveable when you remember it is far older that those episodes.

I went for cheesy lesbian pony romance and got one of the best adventure style fanfics I ever read, sometimes it is just fun to be misleaded, isn't it?
