Shutting downLike a machine unplugged
Losing the wisps
Of my world built on lies
Beating myslef
For believing in you
Over and over
Gazing out at the world
Bathed in sunlight
Happy faces stare back
Some with concern
Most with confusion
And a treasured few
With sympathy
Of course I want out there
But instead I hide
Shoving those away who try
Dissregaurding the ones who want me
And seek the ones who don't
There is no blood coming from my wrists
But the phycotic thoughts
In my pathetic mind
Are self mutilation enough
I'm shutting down
And there isn't a "reset" button
