Your semi-realism is sheer pleasure, especially when you bring out the details (like the h a i r) although the pictures are in greyscale, like these. The one to the left, Azrayen, reminds me of the beautiful prince Luke (perhaps in a less mad version) and the shadows around the Ranger's mouth are so realistic it's almost confusing. All the portraits actually remind me of in real life-persons i know, which is quite rare.

Just curious. Regarding the poses and not the character design, do you use any models for these portraits, or is it all out of your head?

It's all out of my head. I have to "see" the image in my mind first before I can draw it. I do, however, frequently use references when I need them, like for a certain angle of hand or drape of cloth or to check a light source, etc.

Even though it's just black, white and greys, you tend to give so much colour to the portraits, you know?
When you paint them, do you paint in colour mode or Grayscale?

The female character is absolutely gorgeous--though all three are very good, that one is definitely attention-grabbing. Her pose, hair and gaze are my favorite parts. 8D
