I think what everyone is asking is "What does this reference". It seems to be referencing something specific, but it's not immediately obvious. I myself am curious as to what influenced the aesthetic decisions.

Yeah, so I saw referenced. It definitely seems to have been influenced by some sort of middle american mythology of some sort.

It seems like a whale, as the another one, this is nice, but not as a Pokemon. You are good making creatures n.ñ!

The third main legendary. In the first 2 games it would be just this, having Pressure 100% of the time. You'd just find it in some well hiden ruin and woner what the hell it is.
Regardless, it would be useful for uber battles, since it is extremely bulky and could do stuff like setting up several entry hazards, or Trick Room.
In the third game it would get awakened by the villainous team who misunderstand what it's powers are, which would lead to a great pollution being imminent, when this thing gets out of control. To stop it, you would need to find and catch either of the other 2 legends (your rival taking care of the other one) and confront it in a special 2 vs 1 battle. After you defeat it, it dissappears back into the ruins, where you can catch it in Sphinx Forme like usual. Except this time it has it's Forme changing ability Havoc Mode.
