It took me a while, but I reeeally warmed up to it. I <3 it now ;D
I think my favorite is still the one at the very end, with the Ice Queen, though.

yeah. the original story was about a little girl who's best friend's heart was peirced by the Devil's Mirror and he went to live with the ice queen. the little girl goes to find him and her tears melt his heart back to normal.

Of course~ Definitely recommend Tithe and Valiant [by Holly Black], if you haven't read them and you're into fantasy.
She has an excellent grasp of how faeries SHOULD be, like the old concept--where they were playful and could do you a good turn but they weren't NICE. And her writing is awesome <3

Actually... Im reading Tithe for the second time right now. (My friend's whose it is won't give me Valiant... well actually she says that she's reading it for the 28th time and will give it to me once she's done.)
I recomend Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse.

*giggle* Can totally relate to your friend, I LOVE Valiant.
Not that I don't love Tithe, but it took me a while [as in, a few readings] to warm up to--then again, it was one of my first introductions to fictional homosexuality.
...And, um, the yaoi couple in Tithe is creepy as shit, as interesting as it is XD

Oh my God! Is this how you saw me?
That didn't make much sense. I meant, did you recognize my name - sort of, ha-ha - on Masqueraded's profile? He's my little honey! I adore him like no other boy in this world!
(I noticed the name Francesca Lia Block and thought, That's the writer [Masqueraded] recommended to me! She wrote his favorite story! How funny! Now I definitely have to read The Rose and the Beast!)
Anyway! About the art!
I love the way you drew both the characters. The hair looks so good. I'm especially fond of the girl! I like that her skintone is darker than his; the contrast looks really neat-o! I also really dig the shape of her body. Very cute!
I'm really crazy about her negligΓ©e. (Is that what you'd call it? I guess that's what I'd call it!) It's so obvious that it's flowing, and the details are beautiful. Just stunning.
The only thing I would suggest is that maybe there should have been some shading on the negligΓ©e. No matter how sheer the fabric, having so many layers would make it darker in places. I think, though, that not shading it may have been an example of your style, and the pure white look is very good too. Just thought shading on the layers would add another dimension to the picture.
But as it is right now, it's so beautiful; I would hate for you to attempt to change it, on the off chance that it wouldn't work out. It's wonderful as is!

Oh! Yeah, did I not mention that? *such a spaz* Yes, I found your links all over Masq's page, that's how I stumbled across you, it wasn't ENTIRELY random <3 [And yes, he's the biggest sweetie to ever exist <3]
Ohmygodyes, read her books. Read them! X3 They're...god, even if you don't like the stories, her writing is worth reading in and of itself. I don't even know how to describe it, it's just...the word choice in itself is gorgeous. And I adore Rose/Beast, i lvoe fairytales, and it's just...she has SUCH an interesting take on them.
<3
The inking on the hair was time consuming, but I love the way it turned out <3 *giggle* Actually, both girls. Rev [darker] is Sleeping Beauty, Miss Charm [pale and dark haired] is her "Prince" Charming. They're one of a few shoujo-ai couples I really like [girl couples are pretty new to me]
I know the sheer cloth isn't quite right, I didn't actually intend to shade the piece at all, but the fact that Rev is darker is...noteworthy, if not a plot point, I guess--I just didn't want to go overboard on shading and possibly botch it [I was already iffy about the shading on the moon]
