Diana had indeed handcuffed the burly gangster very tightly behind his back when she had arrested him after a fierce fight, and the metal was beginning to chafe the man’s bound wrists.
“And when will that be, ma’am?” George asked with new found respect for the policewoman who had blacked both his eyes.
“Oh, in an hour or two.” Diana replied airily without looking up.
