Description
There was consternation in the ER at Hyde General Hospital, Chicago. By sheer bad fortune, both the medical and nursing teams were all female on the very night a crazed, drunk and drugs addled misogynistic male was being admitted. Charge Nurse Vicky Wood did her best to stem a rising tide of panic as her team readied the cubicle in the isolation side room.“Take it easy, girls,” the experienced senior nurse urged, “he is just an agitated patient. We have to care for him like would anyone else!”
“But the paramedics say that this guy really hates women - nurses in particular!” cried Nurse Louise Beech anxiously. “He is raging about sluts and whores in the back of the ambulance!”
Vicky looked at her team. “Ladies - we are all professional women.” she replied calmly. “We deal with the patient as he presents. You have seen it all before.” The nurses all nodded solemnly, wide eyed.
“But break out the restraints and the sedatives,” Vicky added quickly, “- just in case!”
“Yes, boss!” the nurses chorused, an definite tone of relief in their voices.
