“We hate you, ma’am!” I spat out bitterly to the broadly grinning detective Sarah Solo, as myself and Jimmy trudged past her on the windswept street towards the open door of her car, our hands humiliatingly tied behind our backs. I could see poor Jimmy’s head bowed with shame as he slowly walked ahead of me, in front of curious and amused looks of passers by.
Sarah sighed, but there was laughter beneath that exhalation of breath. “Really, gentlemen, I don’t know why you are so upset,” she scolded, “you KNEW I would catch you eventually. You just dropped into my lap a little sooner than either of us expected!”
I glared at the dark haired leather skirted woman resentfully. “We were willing to come quietly,” I said sulkily, “there was no need to tie us both up. And in public! AND with your pantyhose! How do you think we - two men - feel being shamed like that by a WOMAN in front of everybody?”
Sarah just sniggered. “Pretty stupid, I’d imagine,” she smirked, “there being two of you and all!” She took by my bound wrists and hurried me along to her car.
“Besides, what was I supposed to do?” she continued. “I’m not even on duty! I’m supposed to be meeting my boyfriend in the hotel in five minutes, but instead I’m dealing with you two jokers. I don’t have any handcuffs with me, so I had to improvise.”
“It’s too tight.” I complained.
“Then stop trying to work yourself loose!” she snapped back. “Nylon contracts the more you pull in it. Besides, I’ve wasted two perfectly good pairs of Calzedonias tying you schmucks up! They were SUPPOSED to be a treat for my man tonight, so we’ve all got problems!”
“Ours are little more serious than yours, ma’am,” I muttered as she pushed me into the back of her car next to the sobbing Jimmy.
