Story Notes:

1. On the previous page Caramine passes on hearing any of the long dialog between Kristina and the pregnant demon, so this page involves a hard cut to the three watching the inner story unfold. The fading imagery of the inner story is shown on top of a view of the nearby coast.
2. In both panels, Caramine should sound somewhere between frustrated and irritated. She's not in agreement with Kristina about what Kristina should have been trying to do during the flight story.
3. On Kristina's thigh is a small weasel that happens to be Tarralyn's familiar. Kristina strokes it absent mindedly and Tarralyn expression stays soft while this happens.
4. Kristina's tone of voice is cautious in the first panel, but by the end of the second panel she is back to being very confident.
5. At the very end of the second panel, Kristina is ambiguous in her use of 'she' in "Notice she didn't miss?" A reader might be confused, but from Kristina's POV there is no way Caramine could possibly think she means anyone but the goddess in the sword. All three women in the scene have genius level intelligence, so in their dialog they DO skip over what they think is obvious.

Technical Note:

A drawback with producing these pages one at a time and posting them when they are done is the flow of the conversation breaks for a casual reader. This is beginning to matter at this point in the story because the comment Kristina makes about the demon being trapped with her isn't all that different from the situation Caramine is facing. Kristina is taking her sweet time to deliver a long sales pitch at BOTH levels of the story... and she knows it.
