this is so random. i need to burn those words into my brain
i'm thinking of doing AI related as my final year project which i'm still waiting for my supervisor to reply to me *hopefully i'll get it since it's my first choice*
supposedly, i should have started reading about AI lol - in need to go to the library
as i haven't learn anything about it yetanyone doing AI? any advice?
i find if pretty interesting which i suppose, i'd like to continue with it for my master/phD whichever i could do lol
anyway, some info if anyone interested
(a lot of things are AI! it's the matter of knowing or not about it )What is AI?
AI stands for Artificial Intelligence; man made computational devices and systems to act in a manner which could be inclined to call intelligent. That includes, activities that associate with human thinking such as decision making, problem solving, adapting to learning etc.
In this case, we're trying to make computers (devices and systems) to do things like people; thinking humanly and rationally, and also acting humanly and rationally.
It does not limit to robotics as translation from one language into another in real time is also called as AI. Games, such as computer chess is another example of AI. If I'm not mistaken, a computer programmed chess had beaten the world best player back in the 19s (they've dismantle it, I think? -I'm working from memory here~ lol)

A.I is such an interesting prospect, I hope we can realize it fully in at least a few decades. Although maybe if they are ever created, we should stop calling them "artificial"? Even if they are man-made, artificial implies that they are fake or an illusion, they might not like that one bit.

Oh yes- I'm a fan of that field. My favorite fictional AI characters are GLaDOS, SHODAN, AUTO, and Wheatley (Portal 2). As far as AI itself, you might look into neural nets. Lookup GENESIS on Google (accompanying book is "The Book of Genesis"). AI has many practical applications as both front-ends and core programming for software. AI can improve an interface to make it more adaptable, and easier to use for the consumer. AI (mainly neural nets) also has a good application in efficiency. I do believe NASA used a neural net system to design one of their antennae. Let me get you some good examples:
