My first reaction was where is her face. However, the more I stared at this picture and took it in I realized your use of colors expressed her. That she didn't need a face to show her the fire.

I love the use of darker colors and blue to make the orange really pop. It makes you want to reach out and touch the orange. As though by touching it, one could feel her.

The added detail of the white somewhat contradicted the orange. I didn't know if was entirely necessary or distracted too much from the orange. I personally would have preferred less detailing of the white but don't feel as though the pieces is negatively impacted by it.

Overall I felt the movement of this piece and believe it was well executed.

i love the work that went into this, the light colors bring out the point that in this picture everything is moving. Because of that color it looks like she is on fire, a very high burning flame. how you did it i will never know i enjoy this greatly. Only, i dont like the dark color, But that is just me. i believe this a wonderfully done work of art. The white and the light colors bring out everything this work, has to give. i look forward to seeing more work for you, that gives me many ideas for my own drawings. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Vision: In artworks such as this, it is generally hard to pinpoint a specific idea that the artist aimed for. One can only guess, or make up their own interpretations depending on what they see in the artwork. I do really enjoy the openness that this image presents, as it allows the viewer to select from a multitude of interpretation possibilities.

Is this a dance of passion? Perhaps a display of defiance?

Originality: Overall capturing the sillhouette of a person while illuminated by various sources has been done multiple times before - then again, eveything new is a well forgotten old. The way the art is presented clearly shows the personal side of the artist, and that allows the image to further than the standard model of this kind of work.

Technique: The seeming randomness of brushes creates a great way to channel the movement of the image. Not only do those "flames" provide a good contrast to the cool background, they also allow the watcher's view follow the "action" around the image, always guiding the person towards a specific part of the image. Very well done. However, some small brushes appear to be done hastely, thus limiting the possible impact they could have provided.
I also quite enjoy lack of clearly defined detail - it brings just enough of a dreamy "punch" to finish the image.

Impact: I have always enjoyed stylized interpretations of sillhouettes and the games of colors. As such, this image definetely falls into my boundaries of "like".

Overall, i quite enjoy this piece. It does remind me of a few other artists i quite enjoy - namely Chris Cold and Christof Monnin (who isnt on DA, sadly). Great work!

There is so much motion and vivid colour within this image. As the title suggests it seems to illuminate my computer screen and the swirls and textures appear to dance and flow like fire! I would love to know what kind of brushes you use, and how you produce such a striking ember-like swirls and glowing lights.
The blue contrasts the fiery colours, causing them to leap towards the viewer as if they were real! I love the sketchiness of the whole image and how you can tell how certain parts were done; there must have been so many layers!
In critique, and this is me being picky, the back seems a little overly contorted, but that makes sense seeing as this creature appears as a mythical presence. :3

It's the contrast of the darker and cooler background with the highlighted searing white that causes the flames to project outwards in my opinion.

It seems to be more of a metaphorical image of a fantasy being rather than a literal one due to the abstract nature of the image.

The colouring and movement gave the picture an expression that a face wouldn't be able to. It's passionate and lively, like she has an urge to express her outrageous fellings, bursting as flames from her inside.

It's interesting to see her pose, like she's suffering and trying to run from something, and at the same time she enjoy the moment, as some unique experience.

This picture sure is a masterpiece, the freedom and the originality from it's lines is unquestionable, and there's a lot more in it than you can see at first sight. I wish i could draw like that someday... e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

If the background where darker tints, the vibrant orange focal points would be more eye catching. Overall, I love the piece and the figures anatomy looks almost flawless except for the legs seem too bulky (a dancers legs would typically be thinner with more muscle definition). As for the flamelike highlights, you did a fantastic job of getting away from the clichΓ© aspects flames typically have, and took them in a direction that you don't see often and I love it (though i may be overanalyzing). Keep it up, you are embracing your own style and it really does look amazing. Good work!

The piece in and of itself is lovely, however when I first saw it, I could not tell what it was. I actually had to look down at the sketch to find the figure. The pose is very dynamic, and the concept is beautiful, but it's very hard on first glance to know if this is a human being, or just a burning pile of very odd looking wood.
I think the lack of a head is a large part of this, although I do get that it's a stylistic thing. I think that part of the issue is that the eye is drawn to the fire first, and the figure then gets a little neglected.
Once I found the figure however, I found it to be a fantastic work. I love your style, and your use of color is amazing in most all your works!
It's overall very good!!

Nice work, good to see a bit of different digital style. I wish more artists would be a bit more inventive too with their styles as this work is.

This is a Masterpiece! The Flames and the Smoke blend and morph into this shadowy figure twisting and contorting through dimensions. The color of the flames is so vivid and illuminating . I love the streaks and twirls spreading across the shapes. And I really like the water dropping into a puddle affect in the left upper corner. It feels like I am looking into a reflection of water. Your an incredible artist... A Master Creator...
