I thought that too! I always thought eventually everyone would be forced to pair up. If the Overseer and parents had much say then the LW and Butch probably would be left to each other. Butch is an infamous delinquent and the Overseer has a huge dislike for James whereas most of the other teenagers have parents in the security force so there might be arranged marriage to some extent there. What would happen after the Overseer died might have been another thing altogether though... Maybe I've thought about this a bit too much! cx
