Nah, it's a combo of prismacolor markers and pencil. Some day I'd like to try copics, but they're so expensive! $8 a pen, you've gotta be kidding!

I never try them but the cover of most Yugioh (1st series) manga is with copic markers and I have to say that is remarkable, I think you must practice of course. The skin look amazing, also if you see covers like Bo bo bo bo bo bo bo, which is another manga, the cover is poorly paint with copic markers, that is the best way to see differences, comparing. ^_^ Finally, to use all mediums you must have money, but to be a good artist you must use what you have in a creative way because having good materials do not guarantee a good product.

Thanks! I had a hard time scanning it in so I wouldn't loose all the details...It's so big, I had to do it in 4 different pieces and stitch it together in Photoshop. Haha!

You're using Prisma markers for this? The subtleties in the skin tones and scale/chain mail are really impressive!

Yep! Still getting used to the markers, I've been using the pencils for so long though! This is a pretty big piece (about 18x24"), and I didn't feel like spending as long as it would take to color it all in with pencils. Thanks so much for your kind words, glad to see it paid off!
