Description
Those two Common Blue (Polyommatus icarius) gave me a hard time.I thought they would be easy to shoot, given that they didn't move because too busy copulating...
Yet, I was totally unable to have every part of both insects in clear focus. They were not perfectly in line, but well... I think it still remains a pretty good capture !
Besides, we also see their genitalia very well, and there are parts of the butterflies where I can even count the scales on their wings.
You'll see I used a rather short focal length (25mm), that's because I had a macro concept screwed on the lens.
Thanks a lot to for the identification !
BTW, after making some research about this species, I found out that it has seven different names in French... And besides that, we have a normal language.

One of the Blues. Looking at the male I'd say Common Blue (polyommatus icarus), but looking at the female I'm not quite sure.
What I do know for sure is that the one on the left is the male, and the one on the right is the female.
