One time only sort of thing where I did open-shirt binding with Xigbar at Yaoi-con just so I could have smexy scars. Now I'm going to have a real scar, though, because I thought "Oh, hey, medical tape is just like a band aid, do it fast and get it over with!" ... Baaaad idea. Ow...I made the same mistake too of using medical tape for a FAILED Albel Nox cosplay.
Question about your cosplay, where did you get your wig from? Did you order/buy it with the streaks of, what seems to me, silver/white hair? Or did you get extensions and sew them to a wig?
I'm asking this because I don't want to mangle my Xigbar cosplaying friend's wig just for her Braig cosplay. So, that's why I'm also dealing with her wig as well.

The actual wig doesn't completely cover my head, it's just a small section of extensions that I hooked into some tulle and spirit gummed to my forehead along the hairline. The rest of it is my natural hair, dyed black and pulled back into a pony tail. [link] [link]

Ah, I see. That's really creative way of doing his hair without a full wig and it works very well. That might have to be something we'll consider doing. Thanks for the info and links about that! It was really helpful.

Wow, how much I cherish cosplayers who put an effort to do a great job, and you definitely did, this is just LOVE.
I don't have any possibilities to do something lke that, since I don't have money for the costume, wig and other stuff and I can't do it myself. Nor do I have any cons that I can go to, because there is very few of them in Poland and whenever they are organised - it's too far for me -.- Poland is a DESERT of Japanese culture, if it comes to manga/anime, games or any other things. Fuck.
The only consolation is that I'm gonna have Demyx' mohawk/fohawk (or whatever you all it) in a year... Not for cosplay, but as a hairstyle, yay! 8D

LOL, the tape really isn't all the bad. It hurt at the time and left a scar, but I've learned from the mistake and am better off for it. XD Just soak the tape in water and take it off slooowly.
