I've been wanting to re-edit some of my Skeleface photos..and now I have finally gotten around to it. ^^I used more darker tones and adjusted the lightening and made the eyes a bit more dominant.
I like this version more.

The writer and artist in me stares at this picture and tries to decipher the many types of sexy. And--a testament to your art--I find that the writing sexy and the art sexy are two distinct different things in my head:
Art is the layout of the picture, the lines against the drape of fabric; the beauty of the face, the startling shock of the eyes.
But the writer asks what the shadows feel like to that hand; the glare in the eye and yet the almost querulous sadness in the eyebrow.
The artist in me sees the actor being splendid; the writer asks "who is this person," and imagines how they got there. The artist sees the paint on the shoulder, and imagines the actor applying it with decisive hands; but the writer wonders what it felt like to have fingers covered in pain smear down the skin. The artist in me shivers at the visuals in this picture; the writer shivers at the story that makes those visuals come alive.
In short: Great job! This piece is really moving. I love your dark stuff--it's just the right blend of poetry and art (and sexual and frightening) to inspire me. There's no other deviant with a portfolio quite like yours, so I find your works just invaluable to my process. Thank you so much for putting these other pictures up too!

It makes me really happy that I can inspire people.
I do with to continue with some more dark work in the near future I haven't done it in awhile and am overdue for some.
