Description
Ballet de l'Armée Rouge - The Ballet of CommunismThe Red Army (Russian: Рабоче-Крестьянская Красная Армия, Raboche-Krest'yanskaya Krasnaya Armiya; RKKA, full translation the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army) was the armed force first organized by the Bolsheviks during the Russian Civil War in 1918 and, in 1922, became the army of the Soviet Union.
"Red" officially refers to the blood of the working class in its struggle against capitalism, and to the belief that all are equal. The appellation "Red" was dropped after World War II, when national symbols replaced those connoting the old revolutionary fervor, and it was officially renamed the Soviet Army (Russian: Советская Армия, Sovetskaya Armiya). The Red Army eventually grew to form the largest army in history from the 1940s until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, although China's People's Liberation Army may have exceeded the Red Army in size during some periods.

This is an utterly surreal photomanipulation with an excellent concept. The grandeur of the Soviet statue is staggering in comparison to the soldiers in formation, and the wonky trees are wonderfully odd. Great work!

I'm not quite sure I understand the purpose for the tall manicured trees, but the rest of the image is very impressive.

You have created an impressive monument, and as others have noted, quite realistic. I can imagine craning up to see...

I like how there are no hands on that clock, as if the theme is timeless and won't be forgotten; regardless of good or bad connotation.
Outstanding work.

That picture really speaks to me. Not that I like communism or anything. I just feel something. The picture does look good though.

When I first learned about communism in junior high, I asked myself "Why does this piss off so many people? It seems like a decent enough idea."

Brilliantly manipulated. The floating trees really gave it away though. Until then I wasn't sure if it was a photo or a manipulation.
