I lower my Adopts to 5 points and people dont even have the points for THOSE.
I'm just suggesting to start small so she could get better business.

well, you're dealing with the 'no-point-no-brain' adopters 
they rarely ever use their new characters.
Eventually the ones they adopted are forgotten, and they end up making their own character that they love and use all the time
so I don't want my adoptables to be sold to 'no-point-no-brain' adopters. I want to make sure that these characters are used.

yes, those are the most common type of adopters 
personally, I barley ever adopt. and when I do, it's only when I want a new character and can't come up with a design, and/or if the adoptable is so good it gives me inspiration

But there are lots of people that don't have that many points.
I usually only give out my adopts for 5 points and those are even hard to buy out.
I would just suggest lowering the prices a tad

Lots of people, yet lots have the points as well.
My adoptables sell in batches at about 25-50 points each.
My auctions have sold for the autobuy of 200-700 points several times now.
I've seen batches for 10$ each sell insanely fast.
I think it's more dependent on how much people are willing to give to a random beginner artist vs. the super popular ones who can make like, 200$ of a batch in less than a day.

Yet selling faster isn't always wanted, it's the profit that's important dependant on the work in the adopt. One adopt of mine, even using a base i've made myself, takes at least 15-30 min to design and color. Now multiply that by 4 for a batch of 4. All the way up to 2 hours of work, then to be sold for a cent or two? That's why adoptables are normally priced higher, heck, 20 points is major cheap. And I'm saying that as a proud owner of a Grand total of 14 points XD
Even s with that work, I actually do sell batches in about 20-50 points each, which isn't much, but adds a decent amount, as you're really just coloring a base.
Then think here; I've seen adoptables sell for 10$ each within a few minutes. It's all dependant on really how popular the artist is and how nice the adopts are.
My 2 Auctions (Best to get a good amount of points LOL) sold for about 640
It's all on what you're selling it for.

I rarely have over 10 Points unless I Work for it with commissions and such.
I've sold adopts for 700 points before, I think people can save up 20 points.
