heehee, very nice.
i particularly like the base, looks like the gnarled roots of a tree and makes me think of the jabberwocky poem, particularly the penultimate verse:
"so rested he by the tum-tum tree and stood a while in thought, and as in uffish thought he stood, the jabberwock with eyes of flame came whiffling through the tulgey wood and burbled as it came. one two! one two! and through and through his vorpal blade went snicker-snack. he left it dead and with its head he went galumphing back" great work, as always

Thanks! He is actually a replacement for Egil who was being sent to a customer, but must have been intercepted on his journey and killed or put into servitude as he never made it to his destination.
As long as the wood is made of butter, I think he would do fine!

i blame the pirates, Egil fought bravely alone but was overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of the barbarous horde. may he rest in peace...
