bleh here's a species for y'all

You can make any amount of Spirits with the common, uncommon and restricted traits - show me what you can make!

Feel free to submit adoptables, customs, bases, merch and artworks but you must also post them in

Anthro spirits are okay! However, they do not have a lot of difference between females and males, and females tend to have a small bust size.

Edit: I decided to completely open the species up! I do warn you to make sure that if you make a Spirit that you are careful of what traits you pick - I don't want any of y'all getting attacked if someone believes your Spirit is too close to a closed species (I haven't looked any up, but it's just to be safe!) Feel free to create anything you can think of - I will create some lore for them and big fluffy spirit gods, but they can generally be in any world or story as long as there is a link to the SpiritCenter group page or a credit to me for the idea.

Most of the time, Spirits are based on emotions and themes - sadness, death, galaxies, metal, even specific things like chocolate vanilla fudge sundae with a coat of rainbow sprinkles, or a game, movie, song etc. This is not required, but they tend to gravitate towards being based on something. They can sometimes manipulate the feelings of others around them, whether they cause others to be sad, angry, happy, or just want to sit down and eat a good bowl of spaghetti, it doesn't matter. They are normally fairly docile creatures, the minor Spirits staying far away from things that can potentially hurt them, even the bravest tending to be fairly jumpy. Major Spirits, depending on personality, tend to be super cuddly and shy, unless their theme says otherwise. It's not common, but there's probably a spirit of hatred that would probably just attack you if you got close.

Spirit masks are not removable unless they have a normal creature head. Imagine trying to pull off a mask of a Scooby-Doo villain, only to find that it is in fact real and part of their body.

They look up to a god, normally being in the shape of a spirit like them, however they do not stay in that form permanently. They are called Yvelt (yee-velt) and are referred to as "the Creator", not normally being religious to the point of following any script but praising them in the same way we would tend to say "thank god" or "thank the 9 divines". There is a version of the devil but they are not spoken of, as attempting to name the devil in their eyes is evil.
