Description
Here's Jacinthe in tribal warrior role. Developed for V4 by Pixeluna and Shadownet. The pose and facial expression come from Rilaun and Jacinthe respectively. I used a combination of the Rilaun and Assassin outfits and weapons. Also, stonemason's castle ruins (DAZ) and a blurred image of the woods by my house for the setting. Xameva and Meipe's fixes are all in there and the lighting is provided by Retro Devil's IDL set. Hair is from Rhiannon's Blackthorn Rose character, which is now under RPubulishing. I'm pretty sure it's Rhiannon.I used DOF in the render and adjusted the blur amount with a focal of 75mm and an f/stop of 8 on the 'camera'. The woods image was added as a layer in PS with some gaussian blur.
Thanks for looking

I like the fact that this is just outside your house
An amazing character to see in your yard and in your mind's concept.

Thanks. I seem to see all manner of 'things' in my backyard. But I can never see those f@#$#$%ing racoons that have lately been tearing up the garbage cans. Arrrrgh. They finally got the lock tight lids open.

The old lady across the alley, when I was a kid, wired her garbage cans to 110 and
put a rubber mat under the cans. That caused all kinds of havoc and not just for
the racoons. We kids made sure the cans were knocked over early in the morning
if the racoons had failed to do their night previous duties. Of course we used
a good dry stick and wore good shoes. Your racoons sound smarter than us kids.

LOL!!! I'll just stick with good old bungee cords. They usually work.

Very nicely done!
Just a small comment. I would pay more attention to the lights angle you have in your background pics so the angle of the shadows shown in the pics will match the one in your render. Otherwise, it is perfect

I know what you mean. I tried to find the pic that had the closest match of shadow angle to the render, because I did not want to redo the render. Lazy on my part Thanks for looking and the friendly advice.

The default setting is maximum blur. Assuming you're using the main camera to render from, once you set your focus subject you use a combination of camera focal length with f/stop.
I like using a high focal length of 55mm to 75mm for character portraits. It reduces the warpage at the edges, but makes the image more flat. That can be good or bad depending on what you're going for.
As for the f/stop setting you can look at a regular camera to obtain the typical numbers: 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22 The higher the number the LESS blur you get, default is 2.8 which was not realisitic and too blurry. A setting of 8 made noticeable blur without losing too much detail on the archway ruins.
Thanks for the look.

Thanks! I use a high focal length too. Looks like something around 8 would work for me
