Just wanted to share a snapshot I grabbed that afternoon. Java never let Pekoe share a space with her, this was the very first time I had ever seen them like this. Pekoe's was so sweet to Java that day, cleaning her face and cuddling with her. I think Pekoe knew something is wrong.Moments like this are bittersweet memories

I've had my kitties die slowly before, even though Birdie was when I was 4. So I have your back girl :3
I don't have one now, and Marz belongs to my Mother's neighbor now, but he's very happy, so I have a different but similar feeling.
It hurts even more since he left them (my mom + Joe my stepdad) because they pretty much dropped him in favor of their dog Baci (I love that dog, and she love the ever shit of me and Marz, but...) so there's a lot of anger there because I really feel they abused him, and pretty much abandoned him. He's quite happy with Linda though, and she takes wonderful care of him, so it's a really bittersweet pain for me, but it's reassuring
