General art talk: This picture was colored COMPLETELY in gimp and this is the first time I've done anything like this; I'm amazed at the result!
I just wish I had a tablet for this stuff, I'm not very skilled with the mouse...Background? Er... dunno how.
Stuff you probably only get if you know neopets: Anyone recognize the characters? They're both yooyu ball players from the Altador Cup, Garven Hale (a Pirate Bori) and Tandrak Shaye (a Darigan Gelert). Me and a friend are obsessed with them and I've written several fanfiction about them.

I might, when inspiration strikes. It was never meant to be more than a one shot, and with every part I thought it'd be the last. So it's less planning, more random happening.
Well Tandrak and Hale don't exactly make sense, it's not like any of the players have much in terms of background stories or whatever. Makes writing about them even better. ^^x

I wish I could give you some suggestions, but I'm doing the same thing you are with your story. I haven't done the story in forever, I'm just rolling with the flow, like what you're doing.
You know, I fully agree with you there. I kind of wish there was a background for each of the characters, er... Now I'm being picky.
I was reading some of the comments for your picture, and it just reminded me of a certain topic. Don't you hate it when people bash your couple/threesome/whatever just because their gay/bi/or anything of that sort? It's truly foolish, they don't even look past that and they just HAVE to say something totally retarded.

During thefirst Cup the pleayers had more of a personal description, but that was gone the next year and they never brought it back. =/
Heh, that hater was fun. I don't do much fanfiction and usually don't publish it where non-yaoi fans can see it, so this is kinda like my first contact with that kinda thing. I don't really give a shit, everyone can love whatever pairing they like, be it canon or not; spending any more thought than that on it is a waste of time, imho.
Though even then you get these weird comments, like that one person on aff.net who totally freaked over the use of a condom. WTF!?

On neopets, there is no dating, and hardly any romance.
This is slash, I'm a slasher, I don't particularly care about a characters "canon" sexual orientation. You don't like it, you don't need to look at it.
Incidentally, I am amused by your comment, so thank you. You are of course entitled to your opinion considering any fictional character, but why "ew"? Homosexuality is hardly anything to go "ew" over.

Just saying a picture sucks doesn't help anyone: try and make it constructive criticism and tell the artist what exactly it is that sucks. Is it the coloring? Cuz I'm new to digital art and I wouldn't mind a few hints to improve. Or the proportions? Anatomy isn't easy, but I believe this isn't too bad.
Or do you just not like it because - HEAVENS - it pictures furry gay characters? In which case: grow up! Different people like different things. If you don't like something, well, move on. The internet it a big place.
And why would I stop drawing neopets? After all, I don't draw for you, but for me and all those who like this kinda thing.
