Never seen Dallas, but know about it.

NO spoilers ahead.

The main problem with this season is that after waiting 2 years between seasons, season 8 felt rushed. "We needed to wait to film in winter." (not a direct quote, but close enough). I don't recall a scene that NEEDED to be filmed in winter. There was no big event that required real live snow.

Certain character arcs and events seemed to make left turns that came out of nowhere or were unearned, while others were just shoehorned in. And an end to events and characters that was totally unsatisfying. At least for me. Your mileage may vary.
