There's something about the grunting, dirty look of the not so distant future that is very appealing.

This is so reminiscent of the street scenes Syd Mead produced for those old sci fi book and film boards. You have produced a nice contrast with the suggested muted tones against the more angular neon graphic works. Nicely done.

Yes! That stuff rules! Syd's work has certainly played a big role influencing my work from time to time. I feel his style needs to be kept alive. Probably a daft question, but have you come by Daniel Simons work? He happens to be a good friend of Syd Mead.

Well, he made the designs for the sci-fi movie Oblivion with Tom Cruise, right? Then I have seen his work.

That night was bouncing. It was just after the election, and the sky was blooming with the party lights. It was loud. The dealers were out making themselves rich off the crowd. I didn't join in on that. Me? I was on my way to Magiza's. The sack of shit owed me something. I'm done with favors.
May the city rhythm beat faster than his heart.

I like your paintings. Your style is peculiar, few times not really clear, but very effective. It's not the technique, but the artistic approach you assume regarding a futuristic environment that I appreciate the most. Love the colors, love the settings (and love Blade Runner indeed). I think you caught what means making art about a sci-fi context. Keep painting!

Thank you my friend.
I like using obscure patterns in my work. The mind has a clever way of working the image out and puts it into context, giving what you look at a function without the specifics to what that object really is. So your mind starts thinking oh that could be a an air duct or a piece of architecture etc. Im still an impressionist at heart.
More to follow.
Kind Regards,
M
