Description This is an oil painting (92 X 65 cms) based on an engraving by Albrecht DΓΌrer "The two beasts of the Apocalypse" from chapter 13 of The Revelations of St. John.
It took me about 700 hours to complete and on top of that it was done in France before, during and after the massive heatwave in 2003!

I'm as American as it gets, and I like this.

Inspirational. Simply magnificent! I'm used to defending America from countless people who hate for the sake of nothing better to do, but I must admit...This painting makes me take another look at my own pride and wastefulness. I've always lived to serve the world, but I do live in a nation that doesn't understand what the world needs.

One one note, screw the world, they are very mean to us and never say thanks when we rescue their sorry butts from starvation and international conflict. People get angry with us no matter what we do. President Bush corrected a lot of stupid crap that President Bill Clinton did, yet Clinton seems more popular simply because he did something pervy in the White House.

On the same note, the world needs to join together and learn how to share. The US has a lot to share, and should do so delicately and carefully. I think we could feed the whole world if we wanted to, and aren't successfully doing that. The US has countless resources, and is in financial crisis right now, but needs to learn to ask for help and truly be a brother in the international community, and not just a nagging step mother. We love to nag at people to change, when we personally fear change a great deal.

Thank you for the stimulating comments, I took great interest in what you wrote. I did this painting in 2003 whilst overcoming my addiction to alcohol (I stopped drinking overnight about six and Β½ years ago!) and so a lot of anger was channeled into this piece. It was also around the time I first heard about the infamous Bilderberg group and the year George W. Bush invaded Iraq. Allegedly groups like Bilderberg work above government level, so voting changes very little, probably just the make-up! I agree that the world has to join together, but the people need to be in control, not our politicians!
Since 2003, just about ALL my work is done as a politically engaged artist!
I still channel my energy into my work, but currently i'm mellowing and about to start a very positive oil painting.
Vive la rΓ©volution Spirituelle!
