Its called the Modulus of Rupture. What you do is you take X x Y x 474.34 PSI = pounds need to break concrete. (This
example also shows that for 4000 PSI concrete, the concrete compressive strength is 8.43 times the concrete’s tension
strength. This is calculated by dividing 4000 by 474.34)
So lets take a pillar that is 5 feet tall by 4 feet wide: 60 in x 48 in x 474.34 PSI = 1,366,099.2 pounds divided by 2000
(1 ton) = 683 tons.
Much less than DB gave Yang credit for and still below Tifas resting strenght level and VERY far below her own calculated
max.
