It's not exactly done, but I wanted to post SOMETHING for Valentine's. So here's the WIP of tsundere love between Autumn and Nikko. I'll update this deviation when I'm done.Still kind of on a semi-hiatus. Things are getting better though.
Edit: Done! It doesn't look very different, just done polishing it up. ;3;

oh I think it's helpful that you uploaded the wip &the finished piece later, so I can compare what you've changed ^w^ I have a question, how many layers do you usually use? I mean, one layer for every color like f.e. one layer for red hoodie, one layer for yellow shirt, or do you just make a few layers for blending? &do you make the outlines seperated as a layer ?Β sorry for the confusing questions, I just want to understand how you make amazing shadingΒ / v\Β Β

Well I usually start off with a few layers for the sketch (body, hair, clothes).Β
It starts off looking something like this: 25.media.tumblr.com/5c2b2b6ef0β¦
Then I erase all the extra lines I don't need and merge my drawing so it's on one layer. Then I create another layer for colors (I put all my colors on one layer), and when I'm satisfied with my colors, I merge my sketch and colors and just paint over everything/polish things up.Β Oh! and I color my drawing (the lines) before merging.
God I hope this isn't confusing.
