Source: Lee Shen. She wanted an uber strong, pretty, mysterious, wanderer magician with a pet. I tweaked the design from the original idea a bit, though… Haha… But really thank u for the idea… I wouldn’t draw a mage if it wasn’t for you. This is my first time drawing one…
Character Name: Vandrea

Gender: Female
Status: Archmage (thanks to Hadi for the title idea… though what he said is true – she’s too young to be an Archmage unless she’s a real genius… But that just adds up to the story, didn’t it? )

Costume
An oversized, long cape imbued with magic protects her from the elements and harm. She wore minimal armor besides her knee-high boots and full-arm protection made of fur, leather, and strips of fine cloth. She also wore two layers of skirt – the first layer is made of the finest silk and the second layer is made of exclusive wool with some ornaments and feathers on it. She travels more than she ever stays in one place, yet her clothes never wore out; all it takes is just a spell.

Short Story
Vandrea is a mysterious wanderer, known for her huge staff, oversized cape which drags behind her yet never seemed dirty, always hungry and protective pet, and scarlet eyes – intimidating yet kind. All people can do is tell her by her looks, but no one really knows anything about her. On rare occasions, people can see her resting at their town or buying food for her pet, barely ever returning to the same place for the second time. All of the people that had seen her agreed on one thing: her enigma builds people’s curiosity and attracts them, yet no matter how much they wanted to get near just to talk to her or to know her better, they can never proceed; it’s as if there was an invisible barrier. Anyway, she always tries to avoid the crowd in the first place. Another common theory amongst magicians, scholars and philosophers who has done their homework was this: she came to end the war. She is the “Master Key”. Well, perhaps… just perhaps… they were not far from the truth…

She is unlike the rest, for even before the war they all have their own stories – the war just made things a little more interesting as they cross paths with one another. Vandrea’s story starts with the war, for before it she was just but a girl, raised by an organization which shall not be named, apart from the world outside, hidden, unknown.

But a key that locks a door…
