Urson is the father of Maverick Barkridge and owner of NovaDuel Inc. who study the power of Duel Monsters and use their power to take over the world, he was once best friends with Tatum Anders as they worked together on this company as Tatum helped create most of it, but that would all soon change as when Tatum knew of Urson's intention with this company, he felt betrayed that he would use his work to create something horrible, but Urson didn't care as he took all the credit for creating NovaDuel and he would cast him aside and have his son try to eliminate Joseph Anders and his friends by any means nessacary.
