uhm... since NZ is one of the youngest nations out there[ and isolated ], he often acts a bit immature and doesn't know many things about the world yet~
He has a big heart xD ( 'cause I think his official character description said something like that ) and is the perfect foil for australia. usually quite calm.

( Well hungary was manly when she was still very young. That changed, when she married austria. The following wars were all about Austria. and in hetalia, hungary officially gave up fighting to be a housewife instead, too. That's why she became female, I guess ~ Something like that didn't happen to nz though. not yet, at least. xD )
