We haven't quite beaten the pandemic yet and COVID has evolved a variant that can defeat the current vaccines. In summer, demented by frustration and public unrest, the government might have to tell everyone that they can do what they like again. Perhaps now that most of us are fairly safe the rest can just 'take it on the chin' as Boris originally suggested? Boris led the way be catching and spreading the virus himself so it's clear he was in favour of that approach until someone told him the 500,000 people would probably die as a result!
