Ruby didn't mind the JVs' form-fitting catsuits, a trademark for any super spy, but she felt it needed a personal touch, so she kept her jacket and hat to complete the look. The dynamite cowgirl is ready for action!Unfortunately, the situation is bittersweet at best, as the artist for the Jewel Vixens comic, has finally stepped down. We both knew he never planned on being the comic's permanent artist, and though it's easy to see how drawing it through the years has immensely helped his style, he has decided to pass the mantle on.
Don't fret, folks; the comic is not dead. The girls are simply taking an extended vacation. We continue our search for an artist, and I still have plans in story for the JVs. Even as this pic shows, they aren't ready to retire just yet.
Y'know... I find it kinda interesting what went on as I drew this. Been watching King of the Hill lately, and I even went to a BBQ restaurant last night. She has a way of inspiring me sometimes, heh. Though this isn't the first time I've drawn revolvers, I'm still new at guns. The recoil compensator, for instance, is a bit too large, and some of the parts don't really match, but it's still progress from previous attempts. Ruby herself doesn't seem to mind as long as they work.

Aw, I truly love the dedicated work Jodimest has made with the exciting, humorous, and visually fascinating Jewel Vixens. I really hope this is merely a hiatus, be disapoointed to see superb talent slip away so quickly.

On how to improve the gun. Increase the action size to make it look big and beefy. .44 magnum and .357 magnum rounds don't require space so much as length and large parts to withstand recoil stress. Shorting the barrel accordingly maintains gun length. The compensator is fine except all the vents should be on the top instead of the side as the recoil of a pistol is vertical rotation instead of horizontal travel.
Overall, every thing looks good.
