Guys-- I can promise you something. There will be NO SEASON 2. It's all part of Gainax's trollage, giving us a tiny bit of hope that things will be okay. The ending was perfect. We're lucky it was still slightly satisfyingly. We got to see more PantyxBreif, Garderbelt battle, some epic feet of god, and more laughs. Much better than some of Gainax's endings for sure. Plus the ending suggests things will end up okay, since panty isnt dead for reals, and can be revived if breif collects the peices.

Yep. I wish a tiny bit as well, but I keep telling myself its impossible. Even if there is, Gainax will totally kill everyone at the and make it even worse before.
If they did, I dont know how theyd manage to make it as great as season 1. Both the lead female characters are pretty much gone now, leaving us only with the supporting male characters (breif, garter... chuck?)

I was just barely recovering from Gate's death, Chuck's Transformation, the mega panty/stocking gun, and the GINORMOUS leg stomp....and the last 2 minutes blew all that out of the water.
