History:
Maury used to live in Veilstone City, running a small but successful business, living in a small house and blessed with a beautiful fiancee. It all changed when he fell into addiction and started to gamble. Before he realized he gambled away everything he had, losing at the same time his other half, who decided her time is too precious to spend it with such a failure of a man. Broke and all alone Maury ended up on the streets, homeless and without and hopes for the change; that changed though as well, as he was one day offered help by a police officer who found him and decided to go out of his way to help him out. The man became his closest friend, being the first person to actually care enough for him to offer a helping hand. Thanks to their meeting Maury's life started to change - he got into therapy, started to work, rented a small apartment. The beginning was hard, and he changed his job plenty of times. For a long while he couldn't find his place in that aspect - it was until he decided to give an officer job a try, just for fun. To his surprise, it turned out to be something he really enjoyed, greatly influenced by his friend's example too.

A few years have passed since then, and now Maury moved to Ivywood because of personal reasons. He joined the local security guard department, and started his career anew, waiting to be assigned a new partner.
