FALLENANGELvΒ³Well, here it is finally; a month and a half after I started it.
I felt like I needed something to design again, and really should try and stay designing, so I thought why not revamp an old classic (most fav'd and commented piece of mine); Fallen Angel V2.
I did so to test and use my further knowledge of how to use Photoshop, as well as use new techniques and tip/tricks that I've learnt more recently.
Again the render wasn't made by myself; credit goes to ~Gaara2k3 again for that one, much appreciated. I decided to use it again to keep some consistancy between the pieces.
Time Taken: 20 Hour (ish)

Very nice man. It's an eyeful. There are a few parts that are a little rezzy, but I think that's because a couple of spots might be super saturated. But whatever, I like it man.

Really excellent how the shapes really do imply the figure to the last detail without any precise features-the glowing implied, understandable but entirely abstract figure really does give the impression of some ethereal or divine being

Haven't seen any digital art like this in aaaaaaaaaaaaaages. Anywho - crit: (a lot of which may be my own personal preferences, but i'm sure you can decide which to ignore and which not 
At the bottom left, that filter stuff. Looks like the kind of techniques one would first learn when they're doing stuff in ps - and you and i both know you've been around for a while!
The stuff at the top-middle-right kinda area, pen tool type stuff - that is good, i like that. It's creative, something you wouldn't normally see, and it really goes with the render.
I'd like to see some heavier brushing so you can't distinguish so much what is the render and what isn't. This isn't to say you have to plaster it with brushing - more blend your brushing into the render so when your eyes are looking around the piece they go off into the brushing and then realise that it's not part of the original render.
Pixelated stuff at the bottom would look better imo if it were either in the middle or mirrored in the same style at the topright. It seems like it's supposed to have some reason, and the bottom seems like a smaller, lesser extension of the top part. Get some more going on at the top and it'd look even more bootiful

Thanks for the awesome crit/comments mate, thanks a bunch. I'll consider putting more brushing like you said, so you can't tell between the render and BG, etc.
And also I'll try putting the pixel shizzle up top as well, should be ok- the main reason i didnt touch the top right much, though, is so that it doesnt detract focus.

Very pretty, but something about the closest "wing" that bothers me. It could eb the fact that the rest of the pic is so "messy" where that wing is so "clean and pure". Nonetheless, quite pretty
