the atmosphere is grim, it is populated by shadows, mirrors and artificial lights.
The film noir is not so much a genre film, but a tone, a style characterized by dark lady,veterans and private detectives.
A mysterious relationship with reality, the climate is paranoid, life is experienced as a nightmare.
Continuous flashbacks, voice-over of the detective, the shadows, the wet and dark and contrasty photography.
The shadowing of the night with the score based solely on the sound of heels, the process resumed only looking at the audience, the jazz band in a basement.
An enchanted place and terrible where you can see in the deep If it hurts to lose your soul,
life or themselves.
Within each of us where is the boundary between good and evil, and where often the reasons for living there ... all in the dark.
