ASPIS Security is a small private security firm specialising in close protection and counter-piracy ops. ASPIS was founded by Capt. Vincent Taube after one of the many skirmishes in the Western Perseus region; Taube felt that the regional powers weren’t doing enough to help small communities from piracy and were controlled by malevolent corporate interests. ASPIS is comprised mostly of former soldiers and police officers who - much like Capt. Taube - felt disillusioned with major powers and their corporate overlords, and has established itself a reputation of efficiency and professionalism as well as fostering a unique code of honour; they won't always work for the highest bidder.
